The Tunbridge World's Fair (http://www.tunbridgefair.com/) is an annual event that is just 10 minutes up the road from where we live. With it being so close, we really couldn't pass up the chance to go.

There were lots of exhibits to see, everything from Civil War daily life to...

... tractors and automobiles.

But the animals and food were my favorite. There was an actual Cow Parade! I thought it was hilarious, there were a bunch of cattle with their owners slowly shuffling along, it was more like a poop parade. At any given moment in the parade one of the cows was tending to 'his/her business'.

Next, we stopped by the Oxen/Draft Pulling. I didn't really like that event because there was a lot of yelling and whipping of the animals.

When we went over to see the animals in the barn, we saw some really big Oxen. I asked the woman who owned them, if she enters them in the pulling contests and she said no, because they "change them" and she likes them better the way they are. The woman and her husband treated their Oxen like pets, these huge beasts were loved like our little puppies at home.

On to the PIG RACES. I tried to explain to the friends we went with that you can't go to a fair with out seeing the PIG RACES!!! They were even taking bets on the pigs, so in good Vegas fashion I bet a dollar on a pig named
Shakin' Bacon.

Unfortunatly my pig lost!
Every time we go to the Fair I want to take all of the cute baby animals home with me so that they can be my new pets.

Baby Chicks eating food.

Baby Piglets eating food.

These piglets look like they have been shaved, they are as smooth as a babies bum.
Brian always gets sick on fair rides, so he didn't get to go on one, but I ventured to try this one. It spins you so fast that you stick to the seat and then it twirls you on it's side. It was really fun!

For a moment you would have thought we were midgets. These are award winning Pumpkins and Sunflowers.

And they were HUGE!

We ate a lot of good food at the fair, we had pizza, fried dough, honey sticks, and oranic yogurt. I didn't have room for my all time FAVORITE food at the fair....

COTTON CANDY!
But we bought some anyways and I ate some that night. It was special to Vermont because it was Maple flavored. (And yes, I got burnt hanging out in the sun all day)
