My Montana & Oregon Vacation

** Disclamer: very long blog ahead with lots of photos**

I took two weeks off from work back in May and June. Due to internet problems I never got around to posting about my adventures.

My first stop was in Montana. I went to visit a best friend from high school and support her in her marriage.

Me and Paige after I arrived in Montana.

It was a naughty or nice Bachelorette Party - lots of laughs.

I did have a ton to blog about when I came home, but now that it has been a month and a half, I can't really remember all I wanted to say so here are a bunch of wedding photos:

Making it legal - had to sign as a witness to their wedding.

No wedding is complete with out the "Y-M-C-A"!

Giving my speech at the wedding reception - I was so nervous.

I had not seen Paige for 4 years, I think the last time I saw her was 6 months after I got married. It was fun to catch up, we were back to our high school adventurous ways. I'm glad I was able to be there for her wedding and I wish her and Mike many fun adventures during their new life together.

Next I flew to Oregon to see another friend get married and to visit my family.

Paige's wedding was the night before Christy's wedding. I got home from Paige's wedding at midnight/1AM and then had to get up and go to the airport for a 6 AM flight. Once I arrived in Oregon, I went straight to Christy's wedding venue to help set up, my mom and I were supposed to do the decor. I was exhausted by the time Christy's wedding was over.

Christy was such a beautiful bride!

Visiting my family was a lot of fun. I ate a lot of sushi, played games, went to the beach and played frisbee golf.

My mom also took me to North West Fit Right and they recorded me running, barefoot on a treadmill, then they played it back and showed me what type of shoes I should be wearing for the way I run. My mom loaded me with all sorts of running clothes, shoes and accessories. Thanks Mom! You spoil me! (By the way - my running is going well. I have still only been running 4 miles every other day, but on my off days, I do my kickboxing work out DVD. I have also started taking the dogs on my runs, one at a time, so that they can get in shape too)

It was windy at the beach so we took some "Flying" photos

My Dad and I alway wanted to be on the show "Amazing Race", we finally got a chance to participate in a smaller version of the race. We were a team in the Great Urban Race. It is a smaller version of the Amazing Race. We were given puzzles that we had to solve to get to the next clue and tasks that we had to complete.

My Dad and I as we left the house to head to Portland. Our team name was "I've Made A Huge Mistake" - anyone who has seen Arrested Development will know that saying immediatly.

When we arrived in Portland, the first thing I saw was NEVER NUDES! I was so excited, we had to get a photo with them as the Arrested Development crew.

Task: Find your way to this fountain and take a photo with 10 people who are flexing their muscles. We got lucky and saw a group of kids who were trying to raise money for a charitable cause.

Task: Find your way to this Office Max and purchase certain items and then donate them to the local school district. Yes, sometimes the game can get this intense...

Task: Find this statue and get a photo of the salmon while making a fishy face.

Task: (I must say this was an impossible task.) Find someone wearing a cowboy hat or Converse All Star Chuck Taylor shoes. I didn't even know what that shoe looked like so I was looking for a cowboy hat. We were running (literally running to our next task) through an art fair and my dad spotted this guy wearing these shoes. It was the best accomplishment of the race - in my opinion.

We finally made it to the end! - Whoohoo!

I couldn't resist getting a photo with the stars of Juno (not the real celebrities).

I had such a blast that I must admit I didn't want to come back to Vermont and go back to work. But I think most people feel that way after vacation.
