I have always loved the 50's, which is odd, because I am completely opposite, personality wise, in the way of the people in the fifties.
But...
I love their music. I had their music playing at my wedding reception.
I love their kitchen and decorating style. I have tried to decorate my kitchen in 50's decor (It's a slow process). I would love to find a company that makes a 50's looking fridges but with the current technology and put it in my kitchen (when I own a kitchen, that is).
I also love their clothes. I browse vintage clothes and stores online all the time. Sometime I even find a local vintage store to rummage around. I love the clothing of the women in Mad Men and A Revolutionary Road.
One day, when I can afford it, I will buy myself an absolutely lovely vintage dress and wear it out somewhere nice (Don't I sound so 50's).

I've been painting my nails red, quite a bit lately thanks to Mad Men (although that's the 60's) I also love the way people spoke back then...that's why I love the old movies (Singing in the Rain, North by Northwest, Vertigo...) We should have a 50's party...let's!
