Going Out with a Bang!

We will be leaving Las Vegas in one month, but recently I have been able to do a lot of Fun things here in Vegas, that we never had the money to do. All of these things were free because I got them through work.

I got to go to a private Matchbox Twenty concert. We were so close we could have touched them.

A picture of me and my co-workers at the concert.

Now you can see just how close we were.

This band member is my favorite (I don't remember his name). He can sing, play the piano, the guitar and the drums! He may just be my next boyfriend! (Just Kidding)

I was also able to attend a fancy Wynn Las Vegas Party where you could get all the free food and drinks you could handle. They even had hand-made donuts, they were the best donuts I have ever had, yes - better than Krispy Kreme. You could even enter a slot tournament with no gambling involved. You just sat down at a machine and when they yelled "Start!", you pulled the lever (pressed the button, in this high-technological age) as many times and as fast as you could to see who could win the most money (actually points) in three minutes. I did not win, infact I lost with only 300 points, but a couple of co-workers won (they were in the 6,000 point range). One of them got a gift certificate to the Wynn Home Store and the other one got a spa package.
As we walked into the party, there was a red carpet of sorts with people taking our picture. I think it was supposed to be like we were famous and the paparazzi wanted our picture. Then at the end of the night we got this photo. It looks like we are on the cover of one of those gossip magazines. I thought it was funny!

These activities were fun, but I was not able to take Brian to either of them. Then I got the chance see the Vegas show LaReve and Brian was able to come. We made a date out of it and went to dinner before the show. I was really impressed with the show and wished that when Brian's parents came to town last year, we would have forced them to go see the Vegas show "Love" (a Cirque du Soleil show featuring music by the Beatles).

We will hopefully be able to see more shows on the strip before we move out to Vermont. I discovered a website called showtickets4locals.com. You sign up and they send you emails with free show tickets. If you are interested in going, you call the number in the email and if you are fast enough you get free tickets, if not then you get buy one get one free tickets. I have found that the ticket offers you get are some of the lower end shows, but I would still love to go, especially if it's free.
