Weekend Fun!

Last week I had to go to Washington DC to be trained for work, so Brian flew out on Friday to meet me and do some tourist activities. I will post about my time spent by myself in DC another day.

We went to the National Museum of American History, the National Museum of Natural History and the Holocaust Museum. Here are some photos from our trip.

Brian made some friends

I thought this was a good photo, you can see what the turtle looked like behind the turtle skeleton.

Brian decided to run for President.

The Presidential exhibit was probably my favorite. It had neat facts about all the presidents that I didn't know before hand and it made the presidents seem more human to me. I was not impressed with the first lady exhibit at all. It was just the gowns they wore at the inaugural balls. The first lady's have done so much more than that. They don't just dress up and re-decorate the White House, they have put together a lot of programs that benefit the U.S.

Brian - Just monkeying around.

They had all sorts of buttons and signs from different eras and during different movements. I really this button and the sign below.

Girl Power!
** Disclaimer so that I don't get a million comments about this, I don't really know exactly what this sign is trying to say, it didn't really tell me in the museum, I just like the Woman Rebel - No Masters part.

Look at how large this shark's mouth is!

On Sunday the weather was 65 degrees and gorgeous! We don't have any photos from the holocaust museum because they don't allow you to take photos inside the museum.

We learned so many things that I thought I would give you all a quiz. Post your answers in the comments of this post and in my next post I will give you the answers. Now, no cheating, you have to just know the answer off the top of your head - no researching the answers. Your Prize?! - The satisfaction of getting the answers right!

1. Who said, "Well, I'm not a scientist, I'm an inventor".

2. Before speed bumps what did city's do to slow down traffic in neighborhoods?

3. Name this animal.
(Bandit better watch out, this animal is rivaling Bandit's cuteness.)

4. Name the skeleton that is behind Brian.

5. What do the letters ERA, in the picture below, stand for?
6. What did the Nazis do with all of the hair they collected from the concentration camp victims?

Please post the answers to all the Trivia, I don't know ANY of the answers! And I think that cute little white fox (?) would eat Bandit! And secondly I CANT believe you saw Hotel for Dogs, or whatever it's called. Is there really no other movies in So.Ro? But I shouldn't talk, we haven't seen a movie since October! Thanks to Buster.
